The Web Designer position at Hill's Pet Nutrition sits within the Strategic Creative Services team, focusing on brand-aligned, responsive websites, email components, and digital experiences. The role is based in Overland Park, KS on a hybrid schedule and leverages data and collaboration to deliver on-brand creative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of diverse web design projects across multiple online properties, creating branded page layouts, templates, and website visuals in line with digital and UX best practices.
- Select, retouch, and composite imagery from client-owned libraries for web environments, following brand guidelines to maintain a consistent library of digital design assets.
- Collaborate with Creative Managers, Project Managers, UX designers, copywriters, front-end developers, and marketing stakeholders to understand requirements, implement web experiences, and deliver on-brand creative solutions.
- Ensure all digital work adheres to Hill's brand guidelines, accessibility requirements, and global quality standards.
- Leverage data and analytics to inform design decisions while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment from concept through final execution and launch.
- Prepare and deliver production-ready digital assets in a wide variety of formats for various online platforms and front-end production environments.
- Author and edit pages within digital content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality visual production standards.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs Degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Visual Communications, or a closely related field.
- 4+ years of professional design experience focusing on responsive websites within an in-house creative team or agency setting.
- A strong and diverse portfolio demonstrating understanding of user interface design, UX best practices, and web accessibility.
- Expert proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or comparable web design tools, along with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) to design responsive websites.
- Strong command of graphic design principles, typography, color theory, layout composition, and responsive UI frameworks.
