In San Francisco, onsite, this Senior Motion Designer role helps define and advance Google's motion design language across product experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft user centered animations that clarify interactions and strengthen the Google brand, particularly as design pivots around evolving AI driven features.
Responsibilities
- Develop early motion concepts and high fidelity mocks, boldly exploring new directions for Google's AI era design language.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to refine bold ideas; respond to feedback quickly and precisely, applying strong teamwork to finalize motion concepts and specs in real time while maintaining cohesive outcomes.
- Create thorough documentation and specifications to guide developers in accurately implementing motion designs.
- Provide context for distinctive animations, ensuring expressive concepts are technically viable and integrate smoothly.
- Translate ambiguity into tangible visuals that test user interface conventions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in product design or UX.
- Experience related to physics, patterns, motion design and visual design elements.

The base US salary range for this full-time role is $159,000 to $231,000 per year, with bonus, equity, and benefits.
