Full time Marketing Brand Campaigns Brand Design

Apply Now

Job Description

Petual is building a brand identity from the first real version onward, and you’ll be the designer stewarding how it shows up across launches, campaigns, digital touchpoints, and in-person moments. This is an onsite role in San Francisco, CA where you can shape a clear, usable visual system that helps a small team move quickly and consistently.

Petual helps internal audit teams test their controls. Our agents handle preparation with a citation behind every conclusion, and the audit team’s reviewers check and sign off. As the marketing function scales, your work will help prospects and partners understand Petual through a cohesive identity across product-adjacent storytelling, sales enablement, and events.

What you’ll build and lead

Define and document the identity system, including logo usage, type, color, grid, iconography, illustration, photography direction, and motion, so others can build from a shared library without needing to ask.
Lead creative for product launches, announcements, and paid campaigns, taking work from first concept through final assets. You’ll direct motion and video produced by AI agents or specialists you brief.
Design the brand rebuild and every page after it, working alongside the growth lead.
Create the visual presence for events, including booths, tabletop displays, print and signage, and conference kits that make a small team look established.
Design decks, one-pagers, customer stories, and product visuals that sales brings to audit leaders every day.
Art-direct product demos and brand films, establishing the visual concepts for each.
Build templates and AI-assisted workflows so the brand can grow beyond the hours you personally spend.
Set and protect the visual standard for anything that leaves the building, including work other people produce.

What you bring

5+ years of experience in brand or communication design, ideally in-house at a technology company, including at least one identity you shaped end to end.
A strong range across identity, layout, and typography.
Directorial capability for illustration, motion, and video, whether delivered via AI agents you run or specialists you brief.
Experience making technical or B2B products feel clear and considered, and genuine interest in solving that challenge.
Ability to build systems that help other people move fast, plus comfort calling out off-brand work.
Belief that AI can expand creative output, supported by examples showing more exploration and higher-standard brand results.
The ability to present and defend your work to a CEO and to the sales team.

How the team works

You’ll be the first designer on the marketing team and the steward of Petual’s visual identity from its first real version onward. You’ll collaborate closely with the product designer, who owns the product UI, so the product and brand read as one company.

Not a fit if…

You want to design product UI. Product design owns the UI, and this role focuses on brand.
You prefer working on a small slice of an established brand under a creative director. Here, you set direction and execute.
You need a detailed brief before starting. You’ll often write the brief yourself.
You need remote-only work. Petual works together in person in San Francisco.
