Responsibilities
- Lead UX research activities, including requirement discovery, stakeholder interviews, and usability evaluations.
- Design end-to-end user journeys, storyboards, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and UI mockups.
- Build modern, accessible front-end interfaces that align with DOE technical and branding standards.
- Convert complex workflows into intuitive and efficient user experiences.
- Create UI assets with Sketch, InVision, Adobe XD, or equivalent tools.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of UI and UX designs.
- Ensure compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and ADA requirements.
- Participate in Agile sprints, design reviews, and solution workshops.
- Conduct usability testing and support iterative UX improvements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in UI/UX design and development within enterprise technology environments.
- Strong expertise in responsive design, interaction design, and front-end engineering best practices.
- Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, plus experience with Sketch, InVision, and Adobe XD.
- Experience prototyping intuitive applications using Human-Centered Design and WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
- Background in Agile and DevOps environments.
- Strong user empathy and solid design thinking capabilities.
- Excellent visual design sense and clear communication skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into intuitive UI/UX solutions.
- Effective collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.
