Suno is seeking a Contract Motion Designer to energize its paid social campaigns from our Los Angeles, CA onsite studio. You will transform the brand teamβs motion into performance-native ad variants for Meta and TikTok while also building original motion from scratchβkinetic typography, animated captions, logo motion, product motion, and UI motionβto stop thumbs and drive clicks. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role in a team that values measurable creative impact.
Responsibilities
- Transform the brand teamβs motion into performance-native ad variants for Meta and TikTok.
- Create original motion from scratch for paid campaigns, including kinetic type, animated captions, logo motion, product motion, and UI motion.
- Design motion that carries the hook within the first second, particularly when there is no live footage.
- Generate multiple iterations of winning concepts to feed ongoing creative testing.
- Adapt motion across formats and placements (9:16, 1:1, 4:5) for Stories, Reels, and Feed.
- Contribute original concepts and angles rather than solely executing against a board.
- Maintain brand coherence while pushing performance-driven elements.
- Translate performance signals into sharper motion, doubling down on whatβs working.
Requirements
- A strong portfolio of motion crafted for short-form video ads on Meta and/or TikTok, or comparable performance work.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects, with Premiere for assembly and CapCut for fast cuts.
- A solid grasp of direct-response creative: hooks, angles, pacing, and the reasons motion succeeds or fails beyond visuals.
- Proven ability to produce a high volume of variants at pace without sacrificing quality.
- Proactive, self-directed working style; you spot gaps and bring ideas without being asked.
- Comfort extending an existing brand system while building net-new motion for performance.

About the Role
Sunoβs growth hinges on paid social, and paid social hinges on creative. This is a hands-on motion design position for someone who builds motion that stops the scroll on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. You will rework polished brand motion into performance-native variants and develop original motion from scratch to carry a hook when live footage isnβt available. The role embraces craft and creative latitude; youβll propose ideas, test quickly, and iterate toward what wins, with performance as the real measure of success.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience at a consumer subscription app, a growth agency focused on paid social, or a DTC/ecommerce brand.
- Comfort reading performance metrics such as hook rate, hold rate, and CTR, and adjusting creative accordingly.
- Working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma for asset prep and adaptation.
- Comfort integrating AI tools into motion workflows to accelerate production.
- A love of music and a keen eye for culture.
Compensation
This is a contract role offering $70 to $90 per hour, based on experience, with an approximate schedule of 20 to 40 hours per week.
