Motion Designer

Ansera is hiring a Motion Designer to create motion graphics and animated video for live events, brand activations, and client deliverables. In this hybrid role based in the region, you will translate scripts and creative treatments into polished work while supporting delivery within project timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Design and animate motion graphics across a wide range of projects, including event show graphics and videos, stage and LED visuals, advertising, and other corporate communication.
• Review scripts and creative treatments, then develop visual approaches that integrate graphics and video elements.
• Enhance edited content by adding effects and additional visual elements.
• Support the development of storyboards for project concepts and execution.
• Collaborate with producers, creative directors, the post-production manager, editors, and other designers to address technical, process, and design challenges.
• Estimate project hours and costs accurately, and deliver within scoped budgets and deadlines.
• Manage project assets and maintain organized archiving.
• Research and apply current design techniques and solutions.
• Build strong, lasting working relationships with teammates and clients.

Requirements

• A dynamic, diverse portfolio or demo reel that can be viewed online.
• Professional experience producing graphic, animation, and video content for a range of projects and clients, including corporations and agencies.
• Proficiency with Adobe After Effects and the broader Adobe Creative Suite, including experience with commonly used After Effects plugins.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach with teammates and clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience (strong portfolios from earlier-career candidates are welcome).
• Strong graphic design sensibility.
• Experience with 3D animation software, with an emphasis on Cinema 4D.
• Familiarity with leading generative AI platforms and how to apply them within a motion design workflow.
• Video editing proficiency using Premiere Pro, Avid, and/or DaVinci Resolve, and familiarity with Figma.

Work Location and Reporting

This is a hybrid role based at a regional Ansera office in Cincinnati, OH, with the option to work from offices in Cincinnati, Columbus, or Chicago. The schedule requires three days in the office each week. Candidates must live in or be able to commute to one of these locations on in-office days.

You will report to the Department and Post-Production Manager and work closely with producers and creative directors on each project.
