The Senior Web Designer and Project Manager will lead the design and development of NSF external and internal websites from an on site presence in Washington, DC. This senior role emphasizes accessible, usable web experiences while guiding NSF staff on best practices for digital design and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Direct web design and development efforts for NSF external and internal sites.
- Oversee web related projects, prioritization, and scheduling.
- Advise NSF staff on design best practices, accessibility, and usability considerations.
- Ensure compliance with the US Web Design System, Section 508, and plain language standards.
- Coordinate collaboration across designers, developers, and content contributors.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience working in a Drupal environment.
- Experience leading small teams performing web design services.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HTML and web accessibility requirements.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and ServiceNow.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree.
