Digital Designer
Job Description
The Digital Designer role supports The Parish Group’s Asheville office, working on web and broader digital design for marketing across multiple channels. The position is hybrid in Asheville, with preference for local in-person candidates, and consideration for remote workers based in North Carolina.

Compensation
$62,500 per yearly, starting range. Salary increase potential is available after 90 days.
Role Focus
This position combines digital design production and web-focused work, extending into email and campaign creative. The work includes designing for social media and blog needs as well as supporting marketing materials such as emails, digital ads, presentations, newsletters, and proposals. Additional digital deliverables include short motion graphics and video edits for the Slate 101 series and recorded presentations.
Responsibilities
- Create digital design for social media posts, blog graphics, and digital marketing materials, including emails, digital ads, presentations, newsletters, and proposals
- Perform web design work, with coding ability in HTML / CSS / basic JavaScript and familiarity with WCAG guidelines and responsive design best practices
- Design and produce short animations and motion graphics for organic and paid marketing materials
- Edit video for the Slate 101 series and recorded presentations
- Build and design email assets, including responsive layouts using HTML/CSS, with knowledge of SEO and email client best practices
Required Qualifications
- Figma and/or Adobe Indesign (must have)
- Precision and attention to detail
- Extremely organized approach with the ability to handle multiple projects at once
- Team collaboration skills, including comfort sharing ideas to optimize projects
- Creativity with a strong design aesthetic
- Ability to adhere to brand guidelines while keeping the brand fresh
Education and Experience
- 3+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Digital Media, UX/UI Design, Graphic Design, or similar
Tools and Technologies
- Figma, Adobe Indesign
- Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects
- HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript
- WCAG guidelines, responsive design best practices
- WordPress, Elementor, ACF
- Monday.com (preferred, not required)
- Slate CRM (preferred, not required)
- Slate 101 series
Additional Preferred Background
- Experience in an ad or creative agency
- 3+ years experience with web and digital design
What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days
- Complete and launch the company’s new website (60% in progress)
- Create a new look for proposal templates
