Job Description

The Technology Firm is seeking a Web Designer to join a creative WordPress-focused team in Marlton, NJ (onsite). The role centers on designing user-friendly, brand-aligned websites through visual design, prototyping, responsive layout work, and ongoing site maintenance using content management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging visual website designs that align with brand identity and marketing goals using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Build wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to clarify user flows and interactions using Adobe tools.
  • Design responsive web layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and related front-end technologies.
  • Improve usability by applying accessibility principles in interaction design and supporting compliance with web accessibility standards.
  • Conduct user research and analyze web analytics data using tools such as Google Analytics to refine user experience strategies.
  • Maintain and update existing websites through content management systems such as WordPress, while supporting website security and performance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of web design experience, supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating digital design, visual UI/UX design, and motion graphics work.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects, plus prototyping tools such as Axure or Balsamiq.
  • Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks, including experience with React and Angular, along with front-end development experience.
  • Familiarity with WCAG, usability principles, and responsive web design techniques.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices to optimize website content for search engines.
  • Experience managing and updating sites using content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal.
  • Strong data analysis skills using Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics to inform design improvements.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams that may include developers, marketers, and product managers.
