Web Designer

This Web Designer role combines graphic design for print and digital with web page and branding production, along with customer collaboration and production support.

Responsibilities

• Provide creative direction and strategy across multiple projects
• Learn company products and value proposition, and help communicate the story through graphic design
• Create electronic versions of designs using computer software
• Apply design techniques including color, typography, illustration, photography, animation, plus print and layout methods
• Develop materials for web pages
• Design logos for products and businesses
• Create promotional displays and marketing collateral
• Produce layout and production design for digital and print advertisements, including magazines, newsletters, journals, corporate reports, and other publications
• Meet with end customers within the company to collaborate on design
• Conduct research on competitors and market trends
• Collaborate with printers to select type of paper and ink
• Submit rough drafts for approval and revise mock-ups based on feedback
• Develop branding guidelines and templates to help maintain consistent corporate identity

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Design and layout skills
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to produce press-ready art
• Understanding of XML, HTML, and basic web programming scripts
• Customer-focused approach, creativity, flexibility, deadline orientation, and attention to detail
• Copywriting is a plus
