Design engaging, user-centered web experiences for web-based applications, public portals, and marketing websites.

Create user interfaces using front-end code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Deliver front-end code that works consistently across all browsers, devices, and platforms
Implement responsive experiences using a mobile-first approach
Leverage existing frameworks and technology to support production
Design websites that are easy to access and visually effective
Create wireframes, rapid prototypes, and comps to communicate interactions, functionality, user interfaces, and mock-up designs
Focus on maximum usability and user experience (UX)
Provide design guidance, recommendations, and practical advice to improve website experiences
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and competitor products
Coordinate closely with Client Services and Marketing Specialists to support clients
Manage multiple project requests in parallel while meeting tight production deadlines

Bachelor’s degree in web design and development, UI design, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
2 years of web design experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, Bootstrap, or similar tools for websites and web applications
Experience with UI/UX design
Online portfolio featuring design samples
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
Proficiency in Figma
Solid knowledge of web technologies and web applications
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Knowledge of the Bootstrap front-end framework
Understanding of accessibility requirements
Strong knowledge of responsive and mobile design
Familiarity with iOS and Android application design
Familiarity with backend/CMS applications
Verbal and written communication skills
Troubleshooting skills
Strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills
Ability to learn new technologies and integrate them into the environment and practices
Self-motivated and disciplined; able to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to work at the assigned office location
Ability to attend meetings and perform tasks for long periods on a computer and on the telephone
