Motion Designer, Search AI Mode

Google offers an onsite opportunity in San Francisco, CA with a salary range of USD 132,000–189,000 per year. As a Motion Designer on the motion.code team for Search AI mode, you will advance motion excellence across Search by coordinating UX, brand, and marketing to shape AI powered multimodal experiences. Responsibilities

• Define and implement the look and feel of Google products through motion design.
• Provide patterns, best practices, and guidance on animation and transitions for a range of devices (TV, tablets, wearables, mobile) and platforms (web, Android, iOS).
• Create high quality design proposals and drive projects from concept through iterations to implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 4 years of motion design experience in product design, UX design, or UX/UI animation.
• Experience in motion design related to physics, patterns, and visual design elements.
• Experience with light coding or vibe coding (e.g., HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Lottie).
• Experience in marketing, branding, and animation work.
