Job Description

The Staff UX Designer, Visual and Motion Design at Google concentrates on blending visual and motion design to influence platform experiences for 3D and AI products. The position emphasizes prototyping 3D and AI driven narratives and establishing cohesive motion guidelines to unify the user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Define and align the long-term product and user experience strategy for the Beam platform, coordinating with cross-functional leaders to maintain a shared vision.
  • Advance the cinematic future of the platform by producing concept reels and high-fidelity motion mockups as a hybrid motion and visual specialist.
  • Develop a premium motion language and set standards for visual and motion systems within 3D environments to ensure a cohesive brand identity.
  • Collaborate with Research to evaluate the emotional resonance and usability of premium motion and visual patterns through high-fidelity simulations.
  • Address ambiguous spatial design challenges, including geospatial design and depth-based visual hierarchy, using rapid high-fidelity visualization to scale features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product design or UX, with a focus on hybrid visual and motion design.
  • Experience with 3D design tools or motion graphics software.
