Job Description

As a Senior UI/UX Designer at FinQuery, this onsite role in Atlanta, GA leads the strategic evolution of the product experience across the ecosystem. The position encompasses design systems, user research, high-fidelity prototyping, and close collaboration with Product Management and Engineering to ensure solutions align with business goals and user needs.

Responsibilities

  • Convert unclear, high-stakes business requirements and diverse user data into scalable design solutions, crafting architectural user flows and polished, high-fidelity prototypes that address complex logic across the product suite.
  • Own and govern the global design system, define standards, and create documentation to guarantee consistent visuals and functionality across current and future modules.
  • Lead comprehensive user research and usability testing programs, synthesizing findings to steer design direction and inform the broader product roadmap.
  • Assess varied data sets and factors to tackle broad-scope design challenges, applying expert judgment to choose methodologies that balance user needs with technical constraints.
  • Present high-level design visions and strategic prototypes to executive leadership, using negotiation and persuasive skills to secure buy-in for initiatives of organizational significance.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Product Management and Engineering, ensuring feasibility while advocating for design intent throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Champion accessibility and inclusive design standards globally, ensuring the platform remains usable across all customer segments.
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy, handling new, high-complexity assignments with minimal instruction and a seasoned professional mindset.
  • Network with senior internal and external experts to stay ahead of industry trends and integrate best-in-class design thinking within the organization.
  • Conduct all business in accordance with FinQuery policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Graphic Design or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).
  • Typically 3 to 7 years of related experience in a similar role.
  • Expert ability to build, maintain, and scale global component libraries to ensure product-wide consistency.
  • Mastery in organizing complex data and multi-step workflows into logical, intuitive structures.
  • Capability to create sophisticated, interactive mockups that accurately simulate the final user experience for testing and executive review.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and leading user interviews, usability testing, and field studies to uncover deep user needs.
  • Proven skill in turning complex user data, heatmaps, and analytics into clear, actionable design solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving judgment to select optimal methodologies based on user needs, time constraints, and technical limits.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills to bridge technical and non-technical teams and ensure accurate design execution.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and transform vague business ideas into concrete, functional design plans with minimal supervision.
  • Effective project management skills with the ability to handle timelines and priorities across multiple high-priority initiatives.
  • Aptitude for providing mentorship and guidance to elevate the work of junior team members.
