Job Description

Lead the design of intuitive, high-trust clinical and care-facing experiences, from discovery through pixel-perfect delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end design for assigned product verticals, including workflow design, information architecture, and interface design for data-dense, human-in-the-loop clinical workflows
  • Support and contribute to design systems, reusable patterns, and scalable design standards
  • Share design recommendations and rationale with stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and build alignment across product, engineering, and clinical partners
  • Create interactive, high-fidelity prototypes to model complex interactions and validate user flows
  • Contribute to how AI-assisted tools are incorporated into the design process as internal tooling access expands
  • Plan and run qualitative user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to validate decisions and iterate quickly
  • Champion inclusive design using WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and plain-language design principles across varying levels of digital and health literacy
  • Design with a healthcare and compliance mindset, with attention to privacy, patient trust, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on product design experience (UI/UX) delivering digital products, web applications, or complex enterprise platforms from concept to launch
  • Strong portfolio showing complex interfaces with visual hierarchy and clean execution for data-dense applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Expert-level Figma skills, including auto-layout, tokens, component variables, and interactive prototyping
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution while operating within established design system and standards
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguity, and maintain high design quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment
  • Outstanding communication skills to articulate decisions, present to cross-functional stakeholders, and discuss technical constraints and tradeoffs directly with engineers
  • Demonstrated success using design to improve business and customer outcomes (patient satisfaction, engagement, retention, or operational efficiency)
  • AI fluency, including understanding in-product behavior (latency handling, confidence scoring, human-in-the-loop workflows) and interest in AI-assisted design tools

Technologies

  • Figma
  • WCAG 2.1 AA

Benefits

  • Medical, dental and vision benefits
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Time off including paid time off, company and personal holidays, paid parental and caregiver leave
  • Short-term and long-term disability
  • Life insurance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing within clinical, healthcare, or health-tech environments, or other regulated/high-stakes domains
  • Experience designing interfaces for complex data pipelines, dynamic real-time data, or decision-support tools

Additional Information

  • Washington, DC onsite
  • Must live close to a designated IT location: NYC, NY; Louisville, KY; Tampa, FL; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Dallas/Frisco, TX; Boston, MA; Washington, D.C; Atlanta, GA; Nashville, TN; Chicago, IL; or Charlotte, NC
