Senior UI/UX Designer
Job Description
The Senior UI/UX Designer role at Avive focuses on delivering end-to-end UI and UX design work across web, mobile, and IoT-driven software products. This position partners closely with product and engineering teams to take designs from early concepts through production-ready releases.
Role Overview
You will create UI/UX experiences and workflows spanning early design stages and continuing through final implementation. The work includes designing user interfaces and translating customer workflows into clear, usable product experiences. As a senior contributor, you will help shape how user-centered design is applied across the organization and ensure that design decisions are accurately reflected in the delivered product.
Responsibilities
- Develop UI and UX experiences for a diverse range of end customers, including individual consumers, SaaS and B2B customers, Enterprise users, and Public Safety agencies.
- Lead the end-to-end UX process, covering discovery through final implementation.
- Convert complex customer workflows into intuitive, product-ready experiences.
- Advocate for user-centered design practices across the organization.
- Collaborate with product management during early-stage research, ideation, and problem-solving to understand user pain points and develop solutions.
- Work with engineering to support accurate implementation and provide design support throughout the development process.
- Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the design system to keep it up to date, consistent, and accessible.
- Stay current with emerging design trends, accessibility standards, and SaaS best practices.
Requirements
- BS degree in Design, preferably with UX-related focus, such as HCI, Industrial Design, Product Design, or Graphic Design, or an equivalent combination of relevant coursework and job-related experience.
- At least 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design.
- Experience designing SaaS or cloud software products.
- Proficiency with design and communication tools including Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, Zeplin, Jira, and Confluence.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
