Product Designer, Service Management

Standard Template Labs is seeking a mid-level Product Designer to shape a next-generation Service Management experience in a fast-growing startup. You’ll work closely with the CEO and Head of Design, bringing your craft to AI-driven self-service flows while partnering tightly with product and engineering. This is an on-site role in New York, NY, with in-office collaboration five days a week at 2 Penn Plaza, directly above Penn Station.

What you’ll build

You’ll lead product design for a Service Management platform, defining AI-driven experiences such as conversational flows and dynamic UIs. The focus is on designing self-service journeys that feel clear, trustworthy, and useful, and then validating them through prototypes tested directly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of the next-generation Service Management product
• Use AI coding tools to explore, refine, and share your work
• Create prototypes that you can test directly with customers
• Define AI-driven experiences, including conversational flows and dynamic UI
• Collaborate with engineering and product to shape product direction
• Help define and grow the design system
• Iterate quickly in a high-velocity startup environment, embracing ambiguity and continuous learning

What you bring

• 3-6+ years of product design experience on professional tools
• A portfolio showing exceptional craft and use of AI coding tools to push it forward
• Fluency in and passion for understanding how products and design processes are changing in the AI era, including where you seek inspiration
• Deep appreciation for giving and receiving design critique as part of a high-performing team
• Mastery of atomic design principles and component-based UI architectures
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment
• Bonus: experience designing data visualizations and/or working with graph databases
• Bonus: experience working in IT operations, ITSM, DevOps, or complex enterprise domains

Compensation & benefits

• USD 140,000 - 180,000 per year
