As a Senior Product Designer in Services Special Projects, you will help define the end-to-end user experience for a new product area at Apple. The role spans interaction, visual design, and motion, moving from early concept through launch while coordinating across design, engineering, and executive partners.
Role Focus
You will contribute to the product experience end-to-end, shaping how users interact with key surfaces and how those experiences look and move. The work includes building concepts, validating through prototypes, and presenting design decisions through launch.
Responsibilities
- Shape the end-to-end user experience for a new product area, covering interaction, visual design, and motion from concept through launch.
- Synthesize information from multiple sources and formats, and present it in a way that is straightforward, navigable, and cohesive.
- Conduct concepting, prototyping, presenting, and active idea debate with designers, engineers, and executives.
Requirements
- Commitment to designing inclusive and accessible products.
- Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of complex, multi-step user journeys in high-traffic consumer products.
- Track record of taking initiative and delivering in fast-paced environments with ambiguity.
- Strong systems thinking, with the ability to make large, dynamic, and imperfect information sets feel simple and trustworthy.
- Open and collaborative communication skills, including comfort presenting to senior leadership, debating trade-offs, and aligning cross-functional partners.
- Hands-on prototyping skills and fluency with the platform's design language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Pay & Benefits
The base pay range for this role is USD 184,700 to 324,800 per year. Base pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
