Job Description

Apple is seeking a Product Designer, Developer Tools to shape developer-facing experiences across App Store Connect and TestFlight. The role focuses on designing responsive web and native platform experiences spanning iOS, macOS, tvOS, and visionOS, with artifacts that enable precise collaboration with engineering.

Role Overview

You will translate product requirements and platform changes into user experiences for developers. The work includes developing high-fidelity design materials and supporting documentation to support clear, pixel-perfect hand-off during implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Research and design new user experiences informed by product requirements, App Store features, and changes that impact our platforms.
  • Create high-fidelity comps, prototypes, and documentation to support pixel-perfect hand-off between design and engineering.
  • Collaborate with product, engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class experiences for developers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Interaction, Graphic Design, Media Arts.
  • 5+ years of design experience in a technical environment, applying data-driven tools and working with enterprise-level interfaces that address complex workflows.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative problem-solving, user-centered design, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate design concepts through whiteboarding sessions, sketches, and wireframes.
  • Motivation to participate in group critique, actively seek feedback, and use it to improve work.
  • Understanding of how to apply Apple’s design aesthetic and user interaction principles.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong collaboration skills.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and change.
  • Passion for Apple, its products, and its customers.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Sketch and Figma.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to prototype and/or strong desire to learn.
  • Outstanding ability to lead and present a design-first vision.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced environments where priorities and requirements may shift.
  • Self-starting, self-motivated, self-directed, and self-sufficient working style.

Compensation

USD 150,400 - 277,600 per year
