Founding Product Designer (UI/UX)

Lance is building autonomous AI hotel operations agents and the customer platforms that interact with them, and is now looking for a Founding Product Designer (UI/UX) to own the end-to-end user experience. This is a founding-level design role where you will shape how complex AI workflows feel for real users, while partnering closely with the founders, product managers, and engineering team.

In this position, you will drive the full design lifecycle, define a reusable design language for the product, and ensure your work translates cleanly into pixel-perfect interfaces across platforms.

What you’ll do

• Own the complete design process from concept and wireframing through high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes.
• Turn complex user needs and product requirements into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.
• Work directly with founders, product managers, and engineers to balance long-term design vision with short-term execution.
• Establish and own Lance’s design system, maintaining consistency and high-quality experiences across all platforms.
• Run user research and usability testing to validate decisions and advocate for users.
• Collaborate with engineering to close the gap between design and implementation, aiming for pixel-perfect execution.

What you bring

• A world-class portfolio demonstrating UI/UX, visual design, and product thinking, with a link included in your application.
• Experience in product design, particularly with complex B2B SaaS or enterprise applications.
• Deep expertise in modern design and prototyping tools, including Figma.
• A strong grasp of user-centered design principles and a passion for solving complex problems.
• High ownership and a bias for action, with comfort moving fast and creating structure when it is not yet defined.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain design decisions.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React (major plus).

Compensation

• $100,000 - $160,000 per year
• $100,000 - $160,000 Cash, Equity, Bonus
