Job Description

Arrive Logistics is building a proprietary transportation management platform that helps reps and operations teams move freight with confidence, even in real-time. This hybrid role in downtown Chicago is designed for a mid-level Product Designer who enjoys solving workflow-heavy problems, iterating quickly, and partnering closely with users, product, and engineering to ship improvements you can see in production.

What you’ll do

  • Contribute to and own design work for features and flows within your sprint team area, from early framing through shipped UI
  • Partner with the product manager and engineers to define requirements, explore solutions, and iterate rapidly based on feedback
  • Use problem discovery and user research to sharpen questions before jumping into solutions
  • Spend time with onsite users who share clear opinions, then turn what you learn into decisions you can act on and share
  • Run lightweight research such as interviews, usability tests, feedback sessions, and problem discovery, then synthesize findings
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma, Miro, and similar tools
  • Contribute components and patterns to the design system, keeping your work consistent with it
  • Present your work and the rationale clearly to your team and stakeholders
  • Participate in critique across the wider design team, contributing and learning through feedback

What you bring

  • 3-5 years of experience as a product or UX designer, ideally for B2B or SaaS
  • A portfolio that demonstrates thinking process, including options considered and why decisions were made
  • Strong skills in Figma
  • Comfort working within an established design system and contributing back to it
  • Solid interaction design and usability fundamentals, especially for data-dense, workflow-heavy interfaces
  • Ability to communicate design decisions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working in an agile-like, sprint-based product development environment
  • Experience using AI tools in your process (for example, Figma Make, Claude, or tools you’ve found on your own)
  • Bonus: experience designing for logistics, supply chain, or other complex operational tools

Tools you’ll use

  • Figma, Miro, Figma Make, Claude, and other AI tools

Why this role is interesting

  • Freight is operationally complex, with meaningful opportunities to improve the software people rely on
  • You’ll design for expert users, supporting depth and speed rather than simplicity for its own sake
  • The platform is built in-house, so your work ships to production and you can hear from users directly
  • A mature design system is expanding, so you’ll add to it as you scale new patterns

Compensation and benefits

Salary: USD 130,000 - 150,000 per year. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and supplemental coverage, plus a matching 401(k) program.

  • Employee Resource Groups and learning opportunities
  • Office-wide engagement activities, team events, happy hours, and more
  • Casual dress code
  • LifeStart gym in the office building with brand new Peloton bikes, top-of-the-line equipment, and personal training options
  • Free counseling sessions through the Employee Assistance Program
  • Company-paid holidays, paid vacation time, and wellness days
  • 100% paid parental leave for new parents
  • Referral Program with paid referral opportunities
  • Relocation assistance with relocation packages and a Candidate Engagement Specialist

How we work at Arrive

  • Hybrid team setup with designers and partners across other offices
  • You’ll own your work with regular critique and support from the wider design team
  • Preference for bringing rough ideas early than polished work late
