Job Description

Accenture Song in Houston, TX offers an onsite Visual Design Manager role that pairs leadership with hands-on craft. The position carries a salary range of USD 87,400 – 266,300 per year and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability coverage, 401(k) and bonus opportunities, plus paid holidays and paid time off. You will guide visual design across engagements, mentor design teams, and leverage AI-enabled workflows to accelerate concepting and production.

Responsibilities

  • Steer visual design direction on client and internal engagements from concept through delivery, ensuring quality, cohesive aesthetics, and on-time milestones.
  • Translate abstract briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into clear, compelling visual languages.
  • Establish and defend a high visual craft standard across brand identities, design systems, motion, typography, illustration, and digital experiences.
  • Balance vision with hands-on work: define creative direction while staying close to production and delivering high-quality output with your team.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, modeling how these tools augment rather than replace creative thinking.
  • Serve as a leading creative voice in client discussions, translating visual rationale into strategic narratives to guide decisions.
  • Document how AI changes visual design workflows and quantify its impact on delivery quality and team performance to evolve the practice.
  • Contribute to proposals, create case studies, and translate project learnings into thought leadership that demonstrates our visual design capabilities.
  • Identify and shape new creative opportunities with existing clients, partnering with account leads to develop compelling viewpoints.
  • Manage, support, and mentor team members, helping them grow their craft, confidence, and independence.
  • Be an engaged member of the Visual Design craft, sharing methods and outcomes to contribute to the discipline’s evolution.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of visual design experience across multiple industries, brand types, platforms, and contexts.
  • Experience leading visual design engagements end to end, from concepting and visual strategy through to production-ready delivery.
  • Proven ability to direct the creation of brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI with a strong, cohesive visual voice.
  • Track record of producing high-fidelity work with meticulous attention to detail, including pixel-perfect deliverables and developer-ready specs.
  • Experience directly managing or coaching visual designers and developing contributors into stronger, more independent practitioners.
  • Ability to work in agile, cross-functional environments with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists to deliver cohesive experiences.
  • Delivering high-caliber visual design shipped at scale, solving complex product or brand challenges, and driving measurable impact.
  • Strong UX-informed approach to visual design, ensuring visuals guide users intuitively while expressing a coherent brand point of view.
  • Experience building and contributing to scalable design systems that ensure consistency across products, platforms, and channels.
  • Experience embedding AI tools and workflows into visual design practices from concept generation to rapid iteration and AI-enabled workflows for a team.
  • Hands-on proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Claude Design, and relevant motion, illustration, or AI design tools; this is not a purely managerial role.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, capable of articulating visual strategy and design rationale to senior client stakeholders under pressure.
