UI/UX Designer (Energy), ANS
Job Description
Logic (Accenture Construct) is seeking a UI/UX Designer (Energy) for Houston, TX (hybrid) to shape AI-enabled and workflow-driven experiences end to end.
Responsibilities
- Participate in business requirements, discovery, and process-design sessions with functional SMEs and business users.
- Plan and facilitate collaborative workshops to capture current processes, user needs, pain points, decision points, handoffs, and improvement opportunities.
- Create an environment where business users can actively contribute to the future experience.
- Ask structured questions to convert broad ideas or complaints into clearly defined needs, workflows, and design decisions.
- Synthesize insights from interviews, workshops, requirements, and process documentation into actionable design guidance.
- Facilitate alignment across business, functional, technical, and delivery stakeholders when needs or priorities differ.
- Present concepts clearly and help stakeholders make design decisions and evaluate tradeoffs.
- Develop current-state and future-state user journeys for priority AI use cases.
- Create service blueprints that map relationships among users, business processes, technology, data, systems, and supporting teams.
- Map end-to-end workflows, including user activities, decisions, approvals, handoffs, exceptions, and system interactions.
- Identify friction points, unnecessary process steps, unclear ownership, and opportunities for automation or AI enablement.
- Define how users interact with AI-enabled capabilities, including human review, decision support, escalation, and exception handling.
- Develop personas or user profiles when needed to distinguish roles, needs, behaviors, and system access levels.
- Ensure the proposed experiences reflect real work practices in engineering, construction, and capital project environments.
- Translate business processes, user journeys, and workflow requirements into intuitive front-end experiences.
- Produce information architectures, task flows, sketches, wireframes, screen concepts, and high-fidelity interface designs.
- Create interactive Figma prototypes for design working sessions, stakeholder reviews, and user validation.
- Design collaboratively and, when appropriate, in real time with business users.
- Iterate quickly based on stakeholder feedback through repeated design cycles.
- Define page layouts, navigation, interactions, forms, dashboards, notifications, prompts, and other UI elements.
- Design for standard and non-standard scenarios, including empty states, error states, incomplete data, system delays, rejected actions, and process exceptions.
- Apply accessibility, consistency, usability, and responsive-design considerations.
- Use existing design systems and component libraries where available, and help establish reusable patterns where needed.
- Design AI experiences so the AI is understandable, usable, and integrated into the business process.
- Define user input, AI output review, recommendation validation, decision-making, and feedback mechanisms.
- Incorporate human-in-the-loop controls and user confirmation points.
- Help clarify where AI should recommend, automate, summarize, flag, or support decisions rather than replace users.
- Work with functional and technical stakeholders to align AI experience with business rules, data availability, technical capabilities, and governance requirements.
- Make complex AI interactions understandable for users without technical backgrounds.
- Collaborate with architects and developers to validate technical feasibility.
- Understand systems, data, integration, security, and platform constraints and incorporate them into designs.
- Translate approved designs into build-ready artifacts for the development team.
- Provide annotated designs, interaction specifications, component behavior, business rules, and supporting documentation.
- Partner with functional SMEs to confirm designs accurately represent business requirements.
- Support development of user stories, design acceptance criteria, and backlog items where required.
- Answer development questions and clarify design intent during solution build.
- Conduct design reviews and UX quality checks during development to confirm the implemented experience matches the approved design.
- Help resolve design issues while protecting the intended user and business outcomes.
- Own assigned design activities and deliverables with limited day-to-day oversight.
- Manage design priorities across multiple use cases or concurrent activities.
- Maintain clear documentation of design decisions, assumptions, open questions, dependencies, and stakeholder feedback.
- Communicate progress, risks, and decisions to Project Leadership.
- Collaborate within a lean delivery pod and contribute as needed to maintain delivery momentum.
- Balance user desirability, business value, technical feasibility, and delivery constraints.
- Produce client-ready materials and present designs to both working-level stakeholders and leadership.

- Ability to translate complex business processes, pain points, and requirements into clear, intuitive user experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to create user journeys, task flows, workflow diagrams, service blueprints, and interactive prototypes.
- Experience designing enterprise, operational, workflow-driven, or business-to-business applications.
- Experience designing interactively in front of users and incorporating feedback in real time or through rapid iteration.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, interaction design, and information architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, Psychology, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
