Job Description

Deloitte's Encore Program seeks a seasoned UX Product Designer to lead design strategy within the DT-US Product Engineering team, onsite in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role emphasizes lean UX, user research, and cross-functional collaboration to craft high-quality visual and interaction design across product experiences, with a salary range of USD 97,000 to 200,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design and usability for a product or area, aligned with the broader product experience vision.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging and intuitive user experiences through an iterative lean UX approach.
  • Lead teams in framing and solving complex experience problems and drive innovative UX efforts that uncover new user value.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and contribute expertise in the Experience craft to the product team.
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core and new functions and features.
  • Develop new approaches to complex design problems and communicate them via presentations, mockups, and click-through prototypes that bring the vision to life.
  • Create strategic big-picture workflows as well as detailed visual and interaction design.
  • Partner with user researchers to influence studies that uncover unresolved interface problems and opportunities.
  • Design and deliver all UX assets including initial concepts, user flows, wireframes, usage scenarios, journeys, and mockups to support intuitive interactions.
  • Balance business priorities with user needs to create impactful experiences.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering, product, and delivery to align on strategy and KPI outcomes.
  • Contribute to the overall design framework to ensure a consistent language across the product suite and maintain a reusable asset library.
  • Engage hands-on in experience craft modeling and participate actively in project work.
  • Conduct heuristic evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement and uphold high standards of user-centered design.
  • Iterate quickly, test designs, and monitor analytics to optimize user experiences.
  • Work effectively in collaborative settings or autonomously as the sole UX designer on a product squad.
  • Share knowledge and improvements within the experience vertical community of practice and stay current with UX trends.

Requirements

  • 8+ years as an interaction or product designer with a proven track record crafting intuitive interfaces that engage users.
  • Strong experience in Design Thinking, Lean UX, and iterative design based on continuous user testing.
  • Comfort working in a product-led environment within an empowered cross-functional squad that moves quickly to meet user needs and drive business impact.
  • Deep understanding of interactive design principles, delivering simple, elegant, accessible interfaces rooted in usability.
  • Extensive desktop and mobile design experience with a focus on responsive and adaptive design.
  • Passion for solving user pain points using design thinking and user feedback to create valuable experiences.
  • Creative and analytical with the ability to bridge strategic vision and hands-on execution.
  • Collaborative, open-minded, and eager to contribute to team success while iterating on designs based on feedback.
  • Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and adapts quickly to changing requirements.
  • Deep passion for UX and innovation, with ongoing interest in new trends and methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, able to articulate concepts to developers and executives and influence to build consensus.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks and working independently to meet deadlines.
  • Expert in UX tools including Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Axure, InVision, UXPin, and Balsamiq.
  • Degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
  • Ability to travel 0-10% on average depending on client and project needs.
  • A strong portfolio or work samples demonstrating UX skills is required.
