UI/UX Designer
Job Description
Photon is seeking a UI/UX Designer to shape user-centered web and mobile experiences from our Dallas office. The role turns user research into wireframes, prototypes, and polished visual designs while partnering with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver user-focused solutions.

Responsibilities
- Lead user research, competitive analysis, usability testing, and iterative design based on data.
- Translate product requirements and user needs into wireframes, interactive prototypes, and final visuals.
- Create user flows, journey maps, and information architecture for web and mobile experiences.
- Develop and maintain UI components, design systems, and style guides.
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation.
- Iterate designs based on user feedback, analytics, and team input.
- Champion the user throughout the product development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Strong grounding in user-centered design principles.
- Experience conducting user research through surveys, interviews, usability testing, and similar methods.
- Ability to craft wireframes, flowcharts, user journeys, and low-fidelity prototypes.
- Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design standards such as WCAG.
- Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Strong visual design skills covering layout, typography, color theory, and branding.
- Experience building and maintaining design systems.
- Familiarity with Illustrator, Photoshop, or After Effects for visual and motion design.
- Experience with prototyping tools such as Figma, Framer, InVision, or Protopie.
- Clear, organized design documentation to support developer handoff.
- Knowledge of responsive and adaptive design across multiple screen sizes.
- Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Familiarity with front-end development workflows and collaborating with development teams.
- Awareness of platform guidelines such as iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design.
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating both UX process and UI execution.
- Experience designing for web, mobile (iOS/Android), and cross‑platform interfaces.
- Creative problem-solving ability and strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.

Compensation, Benefits and Duration
- Minimum Compensation: USD 50,000
- Maximum Compensation: USD 175,000
- Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications; the range above is a reasonable estimate for the role.
