UI/UX Designer
Job Description
This onsite role in Riverside, California focuses on delivering user-centered designs across multiple applications, identifying usability challenges, and collaborating with Product Owners to improve consistency and the overall user experience.
Overview
Location: Riverside, CA (onsite)
Compensation: USD 69,600 – 142,700 per year
Responsibilities
- Design intuitive interfaces that enhance usability across multiple applications and resolve design challenges with effective, elegant solutions
- Introduce innovative approaches to complex problems and communicate concepts through mockups, presentations, and detailed design specs
- Regularly assess design effectiveness by reviewing behavioral analytics and propose refinements to optimize the user experience
- Conduct user interviews to capture analyst workflows and identify pain points
- Work closely with Product Owners to validate feasibility and accuracy of designs
- Iteratively refine designs based on stakeholder feedback and evolving requirements
- Provide clear status updates to leadership, team members, and other stakeholders
- Navigate ambiguity and project challenges effectively
- Deliver project work on time and within scope
- Support work across multiple applications, ensuring consistency and familiarity across PA32’s websites
Requirements
- Education: BS degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional work experience, or a master's degree with 1 year of professional experience, or equivalent
- Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance to access military facilities, naval shipyards, private shipyards, and Naval installations
- Travel: Occasional travel required, less than 10%
- Work Environment: Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Location: Willing to work on-site in Norco, California
- Citizenship: US citizen
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar
- UI/UX Knowledge: Strong understanding of UI and UX design principles and best practices
- SDLC & Agile: Experience with the software development lifecycle and knowledge of Agile development processes
- User Research: Experience conducting user research and usability testing
- Communication: Strong communication and presentation skills
- Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
