Product Designer, People Products

Join a team working on high-impact applied AI in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment. You will help shape AI-native workflows and user interfaces across People Products, partnering closely with product managers, engineers, and internal stakeholders such as HR teams, recruiters, and managers. The work emphasizes autonomy, rapid prototyping (including code), and delivering polished, trust-building experiences for people processes.

What you’ll do

• Design AI-native workflows across the People Products portfolio, clarifying what is possible for applied AI in people processes
• Help set the strategic direction for internal tools, grounded in deep user empathy
• Own feature areas with exceptional attention to detail and polish, identifying opportunities to improve quality and consistency across broader flows
• Create beautiful, polished, and delightful user interfaces that build trust and showcase the power of Anthropic’s AI technology
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and internal stakeholders to define product vision, strategy, and roadmaps
• Rapidly prototype ideas using code and other methods to communicate concepts and generate momentum
• Ship high-quality work in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, resource-constrained startup environment

What you bring

• Experience designing complex workflows, enterprise/B2B SaaS, or people products
• A strong portfolio demonstrating user-centric design thinking, polished UI craftsmanship, and innovative interaction paradigms
• Proven ability to execute end-to-end on large and complex products (or a series of products) in ambiguous environments
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to influence cross-functional teams without authority
• Passion for building scaled, highly impactful, safe, and beneficial artificial intelligence technologies that enable new possibilities
• Prototyping experience, with front-end code preferred (e.g., HTML/CSS/JS)

Logistics

• Location: San Francisco, CA (hybrid). Currently, we expect staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time (some roles may require more).
• Salary: USD 260,000 - 385,000 per year
• Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
• Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
