Product Designer, Safeguards
Job Description
Anthropic’s Safeguards team is building trustworthy, polished AI product experiences, and the Product Designer role sits at the center of turning those goals into usable interfaces. You will partner closely with product, engineering, and AI research to define product direction, design high-craft UI, and help ship capabilities that inspire confidence in users.
Role overview
As a Product Designer, you will collaborate across functions to shape product vision, strategy, and roadmaps, while taking an active role in delivery. The work includes understanding product technical architecture well enough to define primitives for new capabilities, then translating that into feature areas with careful attention to detail and end-to-end flow quality. You will design beautiful, polished, and delightful user interfaces that communicate the strengths of Anthropic’s AI technology and build trust through clarity.

- Be comfortable across code, design, prototypes, and learning new ways to communicate ideas and concepts.
- Find creative approaches to ship high-quality work in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, resource-constrained startup environment.
What you bring
- Experience designing and shipping complex workflows, enterprise/B2B SaaS, developer tools, or API products end-to-end.
- A proven track record delivering end-to-end on large, complex products, or a series of products, in ambiguous environments.
- A portfolio showing user-centered design thinking and polished UI craftsmanship.
- Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools, such as Figma.
