Product Designer I

Responsibilities

• Create high-detail UI for new and existing product areas across the J2 suite
• Translate UX concepts into polished, high-fidelity assets aligned with the evolving design system
• Leverage AI tools to speed design cycles and elevate quality
• Contribute improvements to the J2 design system, including components, tokens, and documentation
• Collaborate closely with engineers to communicate requirements and perform design QA
• Partner with the lead designer and product managers to refine and expand iterations during early concept stages
• Support and observe product discovery and research activities
• Assist growth teams with ad hoc design requests for marketing initiatives
• Ground design decisions in quantitative and qualitative data to drive user value and business impact
• Support cross-functional efforts such as documentation, user guide updates, and marketing design tasks
• Actively participate in group design critiques to solicit and give constructive feedback

Requirements

• 3+ years of UI design experience across professional, educational, or recreational contexts
• 1–2 years of professional experience (internships or full-time roles)
• Strong proficiency with Figma, including auto-layout, components, and variables
• Experience with AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Figma Make, Lovable, or similar
• Solid understanding of modern product design best practices
• Willingness to contribute across the full design process from discovery to QA
• Passion for delivering high-craft experiences to underserved business users
• Ability to manage complexity and produce clarity in design problems
• Clear communication skills to articulate design decisions effectively

The Role

• Join to shape the next generation of network tools through visual craft, intuitive interactions, and clear presentation of industry data
• Develop a deeper understanding of design's role in software development via product team collaboration, cross-functional work, and ongoing user discovery
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer success, with direct guidance from the design manager
• Ideal for someone with strong visual and technical design abilities and an interest in data products and B2B software, even with limited professional experience
• Hybrid work arrangement based in NYC, with a three‑day‑per‑week in‑office expectation

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $130,000–$145,000 per year. This position includes full benefits and equity. Actual compensation within the range depends on factors such as skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
