Product Designer (UI/UX, HCI, JIRA)

MicroHealth, LLC is hiring a Product Designer (UI/UX, HCI, JIRA) to lead visual and interaction design for digital products. This remote role sits at the intersection of creative direction and technical delivery, working closely with engineering teams to turn design concepts into Agile-ready work packages.

What you’ll do

• Design user-centered GUI/UI/UX solutions that align with product and business goals
• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs
• Partner with engineers to ensure design feasibility and accurate implementation
• Break down design deliverables into actionable Jira units including epics, stories, and tasks
• Maintain and evolve design systems and style guides
• Conduct usability reviews and iterate based on user feedback and testing results
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback into iterative design cycles
• Collaborate with Product Management to align design priorities with the roadmap and business objectives
• Ensure design consistency across products using documented style guides and component libraries
• Support QA/testing teams by clarifying design intent and expected user interactions

What you bring

• Minimum 3 years of experience in UI/UX or product design
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and/or Adobe XD
• Experience working with engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Familiarity with Jira or similar project management and ticketing tools
• Strong portfolio demonstrating GUI/UX design work (required)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, and business stakeholders
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines

Nice to have

• Experience building and maintaining design systems and component libraries
• Familiarity with accessibility standards including WCAG 2.1 and Section 508
• Background in healthcare technology or government IT services
• Experience designing for federal/government clients
• Bachelor’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Compensation

USD 110,000 - 130,000 per year. Compensation decisions depend on a range of factors, including skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
