Product Designer, Early Career
Job Description
Mirage is hiring an Early Career Product Designer in New York, NY (onsite) to shape intuitive experiences across web and mobile products. In this role, you will connect user insights with product requirements, contribute to the design system, and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners.
Responsibilities
- Design intuitive user experiences across web and mobile products, including user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to define product requirements and deliver solutions addressing user and business needs.
- Own design workstreams from concept through execution, balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business goals.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to guide design decisions and uncover improvement opportunities.
- Translate research findings, product requirements, and available data into clear design recommendations.
- Contribute to and help evolve the design system to maintain consistency, scalability, and quality across products.
- Present design concepts, rationale, and tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
- Participate in design critiques and reviews, providing and incorporating feedback to improve the user experience.
- Advocate for users throughout product development and support a user-centered approach to decision-making.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and product design best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 1-4 years of experience in UX or product design, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong portfolio showing end-to-end design thinking, including user research, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools, including Figma.
- Understanding of user-centered design principles, usability best practices, and common research methodologies.
- Strong communication skills to clearly articulate design ideas and rationale.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Compensation and Location
Location: New York, NY (onsite)
Compensation range: USD 100,000 - 150,000 per year
