Job Description

Datasite is seeking a senior Lead Product Designer to join Grata and shape the next generation of product experiences for dealmakers. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on turning complex, proprietary data into intuitive, actionable workflows, including the integration of AI-powered workflows and agents.

Role Overview

In this position, you will lead complex product initiatives from early discovery through launch and ongoing iteration. You will design experiences that help customers discover, understand, and act on information derived from large sets of complex data, while ensuring AI workflows and agents feel native to the product experience rather than added on top of existing patterns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own complex product initiatives end-to-end, spanning early discovery, launch, and iteration.
  • Define how AI workflows and agents become natural, useful components of the Grata experience.
  • Design experiences that transform proprietary, complex datasets into information users can easily find, comprehend, and use.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to define problems, explore opportunities, and shape product direction.
  • Lead user research, customer interviews, usability testing, and other discovery activities to understand needs and validate solutions.
  • Translate complex workflows and information into clear, intuitive product experiences.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished, production-ready UI in Figma.
  • Use AI and code-based prototyping tools to rapidly explore ideas, test interactions, and communicate product concepts.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers during implementation to support quality and polish.
  • Contribute to and help evolve the design system, interaction patterns, and overall product experience.
  • Provide critique and mentorship to other designers to raise the quality bar.
  • Maintain and evolve usability and visual quality across the product experience.
  • Advocate for customers and strong design practices across the broader product organization.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience designing digital products, primarily within in-house product organizations.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong UX thinking, interaction design, and visual/UI craft across shipped products.
  • Experience independently leading complex projects from discovery through delivery.
  • Strong experience planning and conducting user research and usability testing, and turning findings into product decisions.
  • Excellent Figma skills, including prototyping and working with design systems.
  • Experience using modern AI prototyping tools to explore and communicate product ideas.
  • Strong product thinking and the ability to balance customer, business, and technical considerations.
  • Ability to simplify complex information and workflows without losing underlying capability.
  • Experience working iteratively with Product Managers and Engineers.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, including explaining the rationale behind design decisions.
  • Collaborative mindset with comfort giving and receiving direct, thoughtful feedback.

  • Experience designing products that help users navigate, understand, or make decisions from large or complex datasets.
