Senior or Lead Product Designer

ShopMy is hiring a Senior or Lead Product Designer to drive product design end-to-end, combining exceptional UI craft with a builder mentality. This remote role partners closely with Product and Engineering, prototypes concepts through experimentation, and helps evolve the design system while using modern AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete design process, from discovery and research or concept exploration through polished implementation support, QA, and launch.
• Collaborate deeply with Product and Engineering to help define problems, influence product strategy, and shape what gets built, not only how it looks.
• Look beyond design outputs by identifying improvements to workflows, product quality, and customer experience across creators, brands, and shoppers.
• Prototype and experiment to validate ideas quickly, communicate concepts clearly, and reduce uncertainty before development.
• Use modern AI tools and emerging workflows to speed up design, QA, prototyping, and execution while maintaining high quality standards.
• Participate in critiques and product discussions by providing thoughtful feedback and continuously raising the team’s bar.
• Contribute to and evolve the design system to support consistency, scalability, and accessibility.
• Deliver polished experiences with strong craft and attention to detail from concept through launch.
• Stay current on new tools, technologies, and product patterns to improve how the team designs and builds.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product design experience, ideally in a startup or fast-moving product environment.
• A portfolio showcasing exceptional design, visual craft, and product thinking.
• Experience designing across web, mobile, and responsive platforms.
• A builder mindset, comfortable solving problems beyond the interface and operating in unfamiliar areas.
• Strong product intuition balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
• Comfort with rapid iteration, including working through ambiguity and knowing when to explore versus when to ship.
• Experience creating prototypes to communicate ideas and validate solutions.
• Interest in AI-powered design and development workflows; experience with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, or similar is a plus but not required.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with Product, Engineering, and Design.
• Systems thinking with a strong focus on scalability, quality, and craft.

Location and Compensation

• Location: Remote (remote)
• Salary: USD 150,000 - 200,000 per year
• New York pay range: $150,000 - $200,000 USD
