Job Description

Zeta Global is hiring a Senior Product Designer for a 6 month contract in New York, NY (onsite). This role helps shape the Zeta Marketing Platform (ZMP) across core ZMP, Athena OS, an emerging Agentic Apps ecosystem, and Data Cloud. If you enjoy high-leverage design work, strong systems thinking, and building production-grade experiences for customers, this position offers direct impact across a platform that will define the future of the business.

What you will work on

You’ll be a central design partner within the Product Design team, operating wherever the highest-leverage problems are rather than owning a single surface. You’ll work closely with Product and Engineering through triads, translating complex platform and data requirements into experiences that are clear, consistent, and genuinely useful.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve data visualization focused experiences across ZMP, Athena OS, Agentic Apps, and Data Cloud, moving fluidly between areas as priorities shift.
  • Manage and improve shared design processes and provide quality oversight.
  • Contribute to a systematic foundation that supports consistency, scalability, and exceptional quality across the product ecosystem.
  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering to define strategy, scope, and execution, translating technical constraints and complex requirements into intuitive experiences.
  • Iterate on concepts to deliver on unique customer use cases across these areas.
  • Contribute to AI interaction models, agentic patterns, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) thinking where relevant, including how Data Cloud and platform data is surfaced, visualized, and understood.
  • Help define how users understand, trust, and act on systems and data inside a marketing operating system.
  • Lead by example through strong visual design, interaction design, motion, prototyping, and data visualization, raising the bar for speed, clarity, and polish.
  • Set a high standard for data communication, knowing when a chart, table, or single number best fits the question for users and executives.
  • Act as a force multiplier by mentoring designers, reviewing work, and challenging assumptions.
  • Create systems, interfaces, and processes that enable the company to scale high-quality product design with speed, consistency, and confidence across ZMP, Athena OS, Agentic Apps, and Data Cloud.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience and proven ability to design scalable systems, frameworks, and interfaces for consistency, flexibility, and speed.
  • Comfort designing across a large platform (not a single narrow surface), such as ZMP.
  • Deep experience in both Figma and AI tools, including use of structured libraries, reusable patterns, and scalable design foundations.
  • Solid understanding of AI-powered workflows, agentic systems, and emerging interaction patterns.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to inform, accelerate, and enhance product design.
  • Ability to design experiences shaped by models, context, and automation, not only static interfaces.
  • Strong excellence across UX, visual design, interaction design, motion, and data visualization, including sophisticated workflows that stay intuitive in technically complex environments.
  • Comfort with intent-based flows (where intent matters more than screens) and knowing when not to add UI.
  • Strong understanding of animation as UX, including using motion to explain state changes, communicate AI progress and confidence, and reduce perceived latency.
  • Experience designing micro-interactions for loading, generating, refining, and success/failure/partial results.
  • Strong collaboration with engineers, with prototyping experience using low- and high-fidelity approaches, coded or no-code, to explore, validate, and communicate complex ideas.
  • Ability to influence outcomes through clarity, critique, documentation, and example-setting, raising quality without formal management.
  • Ability to present data-heavy design work to executive stakeholders and balance feedback with best practices and user needs.
  • Expert-level Figma skills: scalable component architecture, variants, auto-layout, design tokens, and shared libraries.
  • Regular use of AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) for ideation, exploration, synthesis, critique, and system thinking.
  • Experience prototyping with AI-enabled tools (such as Cursor, Bolt, Lovable, Claude Code, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Storybook and React/Next.js.
  • Experience with motion/animation tooling such as Rive, Motion.dev, Framer Motion, GSAP, or D3, plus comfort with Figma prototypes and tools like ProtoPie.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, able to read code and collaborate deeply with engineers.
  • Comfort with modern product workflows including GitHub, Jira, Linear, Notion, Slack, and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with MCP concepts, including context, memory, tools, and agents and how they shape user experience.
  • Knowledge of charting and visualization tools/libraries such as D3, Chart.js, Highcharts, Observable Plot, or Tableau, and mapping chart behavior to Figma-designed chart components.
  • Visualization principles including chart selection, accessible color and encoding, axis and label clarity, and information density for executive-level reporting.
  • High autonomy, strong judgment, clear communication, comfort with ambiguity, and ownership for outcomes.
  • AI-forward curiosity, plus a pragmatic quality mindset that understands when to ship, learn, and iterate.

Compensation

$70-$80 per hour, depending on location and experience.
