UX/UI Design Engineer
Job Description
This onsite, 1-year contract role in Santa Clara, CA offers a competitive annual package between $64,000 and $96,000. You will contribute to data‑driven, B2B supply chain software with end‑to‑end UX and UI design, rapid 3 to 4 week sprint cycles, AI assisted prototyping, and impactful data visualizations. You’ll receive guidance from a senior designer and apply solid UX methodologies across the product lifecycle within a collaborative, cross‑functional team.

Responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end UX/UI design for supply chain software, from concept and user flows to high‑fidelity deliverables in Figma ready for handoff or testing
- Deliver polished output in rapid, iterative 3 to 4 week design sprints, continually integrating feedback
- Experiment with AI assisted tools to prototype and build near production quality applications as part of a modern design workflow
- Transform dense operational and analytic data into clear, actionable visualizations and user interfaces
- Collaborate with a senior designer and a broader cross‑functional team of product managers and engineers, receiving guidance while driving design decisions
- Apply UX research and design methods throughout the product lifecycle, including usability testing, user interviews, iterative prototyping, and information architecture
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional UX/UI design experience; bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human‑Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; portfolio submission required
- Ability to produce rigorous, well‑crafted design work under tight timelines across user‑centered design, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and iterative prototyping
- Proven ability to design data visualizations that clarify complex operational data for business users
- Proficiency in Figma for design, prototyping, and managing component libraries
- Open to learning and applying AI assisted development tools within the design workflow
- Ability to rapidly absorb design requirements from a senior designer and drive projects forward with ownership, attention to detail, and high design quality
- Collaborative, flexible, and self‑directed, capable of handling multiple projects in parallel and adapting to new product contexts
Nice to have
- Experience with Claude Code or similar AI assisted coding tools
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, with familiarity of VS Code for tighter design‑to‑code handoffs
- Familiarity with Git and Bitbucket for version control and code‑based deliverables
- Prior exposure to supply chain, logistics, semiconductor manufacturing, or enterprise operations software
