Job Description
The role centers on solving complex challenges through user-centered design within Deloitte's Encore Program, shaping broad workflow and product direction while delivering high-quality visual and interaction design elements, and leveraging lean UX practices supported by data-driven insights. This position sits within the DT-US Product Engineering team.

Compensation
USD 97,000 - 200,000 per year
Experience & Education
Minimum of eight years of experience is required. A degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field is required.
Responsibilities
- Owns design and usability for a product area and aligns the work with the broader product experience vision.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to create engaging, intuitive experiences using an iterative lean UX approach focused on continuous improvement.
- Leads teams in framing and solving complex experience challenges and drives innovative UX efforts that uncover new user value; conducts cross-functional workshops.
- Utilizes expertise in the Experience craft to inform the cross-functional product team, addressing intricate experience problems with effective and elegant solutions.
- Makes strategic design and user experience decisions related to core and new functions and features.
- Develops new approaches to design problems and communicates designs through presentations, mockups, and click-through prototypes that realize the vision.
- Creates strategic big-picture workflows and executes detailed visual and interaction design.
- Partners with user researchers and influences insight studies to discover unresolved interface problems and design opportunities.
- Designs and delivers UX assets including concept designs, user flows, wireframes, usage scenarios, user journeys, and mockups to support intuitive interactions.
- Coordinates business priorities with user needs to craft impactful experiences.
- Collaborates with business stakeholders, engineering, product, and delivery teams to explore solutions that meet strategy objectives and KPI outcomes.
- Contributes to the overall design framework, ensuring a consistent design language and a reusable library of assets across the product suite.
- Engages in hands-on Experience craft modeling by actively participating in projects.
- Performs heuristic evaluations of existing products to identify improvement opportunities.
- Maintains high standards of user-centered design, iterating quickly and testing designs to improve usability and consistency across touchpoints.
- Continuously evaluates design effectiveness, monitors behavioral analytics, and suggests enhancements to optimize the user experience.
- Works well in collaborative UX team settings and can also operate independently as the sole UX designer on a product squad.
- Shares knowledge, practices, and improvements within the experience vertical community of practice and stays current with UX trends.
