User Interface / User Experience (UI / UX) Developer

ClearHello is seeking a UI/UX Developer to help shape and refine the user experiences across its digital products. In this onsite/hybrid role based in Escondido, you will collaborate with Product, Design, and Development to turn design direction into responsive, accessible, production-ready interfaces while keeping design systems and UI assets consistent across teams and brands.

Role & Responsibilities

• Work closely with Product, Design, and Development teams to craft intuitive, visually engaging user experiences for web and desktop applications, including user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Convert approved design concepts into production-ready front-end code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a focus on responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Run user research, usability testing, and interface evaluations to find improvement opportunities for UX, accessibility, and product effectiveness.
• Review existing interfaces and workflows to identify usability issues, inconsistencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Design, build, document, and maintain scalable design systems, including reusable components, design tokens, style guides, interaction patterns, and UI standards.
• Develop and maintain AI-ready design assets, structured documentation, and component libraries that support AI-assisted design and development workflows while preserving brand consistency and design quality.
• Partner with developers during implementation to ensure designs translate into functional user interfaces and provide design support throughout development.
• Complete limited quality assurance testing to confirm interface updates function correctly and maintain strong visual presentation across browsers, devices, and operating systems.
• Collaborate across teams to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical requirements through the product development lifecycle.
• Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities with strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
• Provide regular project updates to team members, stakeholders, and leadership, including progress, risks, and recommendations.
• Stay current on UI/UX trends, accessibility standards, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design and user experience.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in HTML and CSS, including responsive design principles and the ability to directly edit and manipulate code to achieve UI/UX goals without relying solely on visual design tools.
• Strong understanding of layout, typography, spacing, visual hierarchy, consistency, and modern UI design principles.
• Experience using browser developer tools for inspecting elements, troubleshooting, and making live HTML/CSS adjustments.
• Experience working in an IDE such as VS Code, WebStorm, or similar.
• Basic experience with modern web frameworks or technologies such as React, Angular, Vue, PHP, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with version control (such as Git) and design/prototyping tools (such as Figma, Adobe XD) plus front-end development workflows.
• JavaScript and/or TypeScript knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, design, and business teams.
• Capability to understand technical requirements and translate them into intuitive user experiences.

Salary: USD 100,000 - 126,000 per year.
