Job Description

Technica Corporation is hiring a UI/UX & Frontend Developer to support application modernization through user-centered design and frontend implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Design wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and design system components to support application functionality
  • Run user needs research, collect feedback, and refine UI/UX approaches based on findings
  • Create and maintain style guides, pattern libraries, and reusable design artifacts
  • Ensure UI work meets Section 508 accessibility requirements and FBI design standards
  • Build responsive interfaces using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React (or related web technologies)
  • Collaborate with backend developers to align UI components with API capabilities
  • Support usability testing, review results, and provide design-driven recommendations
  • Provide cross-team design support for additional unit projects and modernization initiatives

Requirements

  • Active Top-Secret with SCI and CI Poly eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT Technology or related field (or equivalent education and/or experience)
  • 5+ years of UI/UX and Frontend development experience (or similarly related experience)
  • Experience with UI/UX design, prototyping tools (including Figma, Adobe XD, etc.), and modern frontend frameworks
  • Strong understanding of web accessibility, responsive design, and modern design systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders and end users, gathering feedback, presenting design concepts, and aligning across teams
  • Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Onsite Location and Work Schedule

  • Work location: government facility in Washington, D.C.; onsite work is required
  • Any hybrid work schedule requires customer approval
  • Where permitted, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC to ensure zero interruption with service delivery

  • Annual base salary range: USD 121,000 - 148,000
