UI/UX Analyst
Job Description
DRT Strategies, Inc. is hiring a UI/UX Analyst for an onsite role in Atlanta, GA. In this position, you will help shape public health digital products by designing and refining user interfaces and experiences that are intuitive, accessible, and user-centered, aligned with CDC standards and federal requirements.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to UI/UX design efforts with a focus on innovative, 508-compliant and user-centered designs that support public health goals and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify objectives, user needs, and technical constraints.
- Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis, to guide design decisions for audiences such as healthcare professionals, government agencies, and the general public.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile applications while maintaining consistency with existing design systems and best practices.
- Develop user flows, information architectures, and interaction models that improve usability and accessibility.
- Ensure designs adhere to CDC standards, accessibility guidelines including WCAG, and applicable federal requirements.
- Review and iterate designs based on stakeholder feedback and usability testing results.
- Work closely with developers to support implementation and help troubleshoot design-related issues during development and QA.
- Stay current on design trends, tools, and technologies, as well as CDC and public health-related regulatory changes, to apply best practices throughout the design process.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust with the U.S. federal government.
- At least 3 years of experience supporting public health information technology projects.
- 3–5 years of UI/UX design experience, with a strong portfolio showing user-centered design for web and mobile applications.
- Proven experience designing digital solutions for federal government applications.
- Expertise with industry-standard design tools, including Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and InVision.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards and WCAG guidelines.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing, and producing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional, collaborative team.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with CDC or public health organizations.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of public health data privacy and security standards.
Education & Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
Work Authorization, Clearance Requirement & Additional Information
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Public Trust clearance.
- Due to contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (green card holders) to be eligible.

Salary Range
$31/hour - $41/hour. Salary is commensurate with experience.
