Senior Product Designer
Job Description
GameStop is seeking a Senior Product Designer (onsite) in Grapevine, TX to lead design for AI-enabled interfaces across online ecommerce and internal tools.
Responsibilities
- Act as a senior voice on the team to raise design quality and contribute to product design strategy and roadmap
- Create rapid prototypes, including working code prototypes using AI tools, to test concepts and reduce risk before engineering
- Shape, expand, and apply design systems to maintain consistent experiences across web and mobile surfaces
- Design intuitive, engaging interfaces for customers with a focus on elegant simplicity
- Plan and run customer interviews and surveys to uncover pain points, motivations, and unmet needs
- Translate qualitative and quantitative research into actionable insights for design direction and priorities
- Collaborate with research and analytics partners to conduct usability testing, then iterate based on findings
- Bring the customer perspective into the workflow from ideation through launch
- Use AI to accelerate research synthesis, ideation, and design exploration
- Integrate AI tools to optimize and redesign workflows, delivering measurable impact such as efficiency and quality improvements
- Apply responsible, ethical AI practices, including risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality and accuracy reviews
- Continue building AI skills such as prompt/context engineering and agent orchestration, staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Partner with product managers, engineers, brand designers, and other stakeholders to align brand goals, business goals, and technical feasibility
- Serve as a design subject matter expert by sharing guidance and socializing best practices with the team
- Use lean and agile techniques to deliver work quickly and maintain urgency
- Communicate design rationale clearly to build alignment across cross-functional teams
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in UI design for B2C consumer products, with a portfolio showing depth and breadth of individual contribution
- Strong background in retail or e-commerce design
- Expertise designing modern, delightful applications for web and mobile
- Experience shaping, building, and applying design systems
- Proficiency with Figma and familiarity with other modern design and prototyping tools
- Hands-on experience running customer interviews and surveys, and using findings to make design decisions
- Portfolio evidence of using AI to create highly detailed, interactive prototypes with real or simulated data that solve real customer problems
- Ability to use AI to explore a wide range of solution directions, then apply design system rigor to converge into consistent, production-ready patterns
- Experience automating meaningful parts of their own workflow with AI, with the ability to explain what was automated, how it works, and the impact
- Comfort working in code repositories, understanding git fundamentals (branches, commits, PRs/MRs), and confidence opening pull requests for engineering review
- Proactive collaborator and communicator in large cross-functional teams, with strong attention to detail and a track record of driving clarity in ambiguous, resource-constrained environments
- Comfort pivoting quickly as priorities shift
