Product Designer
Job Description
Product Designer role focused on building user-centered digital experiences across web and mobile within NBCUniversal’s audience development digital marketing group.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design workflow from discovery through final implementation
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering, and stakeholders to shape product requirements and user experiences
- Produce UX artifacts including user flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI
- Design responsive experiences for desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms
- Create and maintain design systems, component libraries, and interaction patterns
- Run competitive analysis and incorporate user research and usability findings into design decisions
- Build interactive prototypes to communicate concepts and validate solutions
- Work within and contribute to the company’s design system to support consistency and scalability
- Present design concepts and rationale to cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Partner with developers during implementation to support design quality and accuracy
- Iterate on designs using user feedback, analytics, experimentation, and business goals
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product design
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience designing digital products for web and/or mobile applications
- Advanced Figma proficiency, including: Auto Layout, Components and Variants, Variables, Design Systems, Interactive Prototyping, Dev Mode, and developer handoff
- Portfolio showing end-to-end product design work and problem-solving skills
- Strong grasp of UX principles, interaction design, information architecture, accessibility, and visual design
- Experience creating wireframes, user flows, mockups, and prototypes
- Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and present work to stakeholders
- Experience working in Agile product development teams
- Strong collaboration, organization, and time management skills

Location & Work Schedule
- New York, NY (hybrid)
- Onsite expectations: Monday through Thursday in the office, with Fridays remote
- Hybrid requirement: contribute from the office a minimum of four days per week; company may change in-office requirements at any time
Salary
- USD 85,000 - 110,000 per year

Desired Characteristics
- Experience maintaining or contributing to a design system
- Experience conducting usability testing or working with UX research
- Familiarity with A/B testing and data-informed product decisions
- Understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience designing subscription, B2B, or content-driven digital products (plus)
