Product Designer
Job Description
Everforth ECS is hiring a Product Designer to improve a priority, public-facing experience connected to federal cyber incident reporting. Based in Arlington, VA (hybrid), this role will focus on the next public version of the CIRCIA cyber incident reporting web form, turning complex regulatory and technical inputs into a clearer, easier-to-use reporting flow.
The mission centers on lowering the barrier for organizations to submit accurate cyber incident information. By designing an experience that reduces ambiguity and error, you help support CISA’s goals for reporting compliance under the CIRCIA rule.
What you’ll do
- Lead design efforts for one or more priority digital products or forms, coordinating with business owners, engineering, and compliance/legal stakeholders to clarify ambiguous problems and align on priorities.
- Create draft specifications, including annotations, interaction notes, screen states, and expected behaviors for review by senior design leadership.
- Deliver structured handoffs to engineering and operations, with acceptance criteria informed by user research.
- Spot and escalate usability, accessibility, and consistency issues during design and review.
- Iterate designs across the product lifecycle based on stakeholder input and user feedback.
What you bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of product design experience, including translating complex or technical requirements into usable user experiences.
- Strong proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Mural (or equivalent), plus experience producing detailed design specifications for engineering handoff.
- Experience identifying, documenting, and addressing usability and accessibility issues.
