Principal UI/UX Designer
Job Description
Cadence Design Systems is seeking a Principal UI/UX Designer in Boston, MA (onsite) with a salary range of USD 117,600 to 218,400 per year to lead the Orion platform design, leveraging user research and human centered design to guide molecular design and therapeutics workflows in collaboration with product, engineering, science, and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high quality user research to develop personas and a design strategy that supports a complete user experience.
- Create and iteratively refine design solutions through sketches, wireframes, and high fidelity prototypes.
- Measure product success and value delivery using analytics.
- Contribute to shaping the strategic product vision as it relates to user experience design.
- Coach stakeholders on key aspects of design.
- Collaborate with developers to build design resources such as UI component libraries.
Requirements
- BS with a minimum of 7 years of experience, or MS with a minimum of 5 years, or PhD with a minimum of 1 year.
- 3+ years of UX/UI design experience in an agile, SaaS, or similar environment.
- Excellent user research skills with the ability to translate technical insights into elegant visual design.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Balsamiq, Sketch, Figma, InVision, and similar.
- Track record of collaborating with diverse stakeholders including frontend engineers, customers, and product representatives.
