Junior Digital Web Designer

Intrepid Museum is seeking a Junior Digital Web Designer in New York, NY to maintain and evolve its website, build pages, implement front-end features, and support digital marketing efforts including email campaigns and SEO. The role operates on a hybrid schedule (three days on-site, two remote) and reports to the Director of New Media.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain website pages using Drupal 10 and related web technologies in response to requests from multiple departments and institutional needs.
• Support email marketing campaigns and broader digital initiatives.
• Preserve visual consistency and deliver a seamless user experience across Drupal powered public-facing features in line with brand guidelines.
• Implement search engine optimization best practices to improve visibility and performance.
• Manage Google Analytics to track website and campaign performance and prepare reports for internal review.
• Ensure code quality, accessibility, and cross-browser and cross-device compatibility for all web updates.
• Troubleshoot site maintenance issues as they arise.
• Maintain awareness of emerging web technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• A four-year degree in multimedia/graphic design or advertising communications is required.
• Three or more years of experience developing websites and landing pages, with strong familiarity with Drupal 9 (essential), HTML5, CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript or other web development languages.
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
