Job Description

Hylton-Rodic Law PLLC is hiring a full-time, in-person Marketing & Brand Design Associate based in Washington, DC. In this role, you will support two organizations, Hylton-Rodic Law and EPIARX Diagnostics, by producing brand-forward content across digital, email, and print channels.

You will help move ideas from concept through execution, translating complex subject matter into clear marketing materials while keeping both organizations’ web presence and campaigns up to date.

What you’ll do

Create original visual concepts, including graphics, carousels, social content, and campaigns for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and other channels.
Write, edit, design, and publish newsletters, blogs, website content, email campaigns, and other digital communications.
Turn complex topics in intellectual property, life sciences, healthcare, and pathology into content that audiences can understand and want to read.
Design polished print and physical collateral such as brochures, flyers, conference materials, mailers, signage, leave-behinds, business cards, and branded items.
Maintain and develop both organizations’ Squarespace websites, including content, imagery, layout, landing pages, and new marketing initiatives.
Support SEO/AIO and digital-content optimization.
Build marketing calendars and move campaigns through idea creation, review, and publication.
Support brand and sub-brand development, including visual concepts, service identities, messaging, taglines, templates, and branded materials.
Assist with email campaigns and CRM/marketing data through GoHighLevel.
Coordinate conferences, webinars, sponsorships, speaking engagements, and other events.
Partner with business-development team members on campaigns, presentations, outreach materials, and growth initiatives.
Coordinate with printers, photographers, designers, and other external partners when needed.
Create internal culture materials, welcome items, celebrations, swag, and other projects as they come up.

Approximately 0–4 years of relevant professional experience, including substantive internships, freelance work, or exceptional student work.
A portfolio showing strong original visual-design work.
Strong command of typography, composition, visual hierarchy, layout, and brand consistency.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Experience producing digital and/or print marketing materials.
Ability to take a creative brief from concept through final execution.
Strong organization and project-management skills.
Proficiency with modern creative tools, with Canva useful as a tool, but not sufficient on its own for the design qualification.

Tools you’ll use

Canva
Adobe Creative Cloud
Illustrator
InDesign
Photoshop
Figma
Squarespace
GoHighLevel

Compensation & benefits

Salary: USD 50,000 - 70,000 per year
Health, dental, and vision insurance
401(k) with employer matching
Commuter benefits
Paid time off
Mental-health days
Celebratory birthday leave

This position is non-exempt and overtime eligible.

Application package (what to submit)

Submit one combined PDF application package in the following order: cover letter; résumé; college transcript (unofficial is acceptable); portfolio/work samples.
Portfolio should include 3–6 examples of your strongest work.
For at least two pieces, briefly describe: the objective, the audience, what you personally created, and the creative choices you made and why.
If a piece was collaborative, clearly identify your contribution.
Applications without a portfolio demonstrating original creative work will not be considered.

Cover letter guidance

Please do not use your cover letter to summarize your résumé. Write it as if it is your first week working with the team and you have been asked to create one marketing piece for Hylton-Rodic Law and one for EPIARX.
