Responsibilities
- Lead the UI team in modernization efforts and deliver strategic direction.
- Provide technical and management leadership on major tasks and technology programs.
- Set objectives and plans aligned to project goals and timelines.
- Apply expert domain knowledge to influence overall project implementation.
- Supervise team members as required to meet project needs.
- Develop and deliver high quality data systems, reports, analytical products, and features.
- Deliver operations and maintenance support for existing data systems, including the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
- Support and enhance enterprise reporting delivered through Power BI dashboards.
- Design, develop, support, maintain, and enhance the Enterprise Search application integrating multiple sources, API capabilities, BI functions, and OpenSearch features.
- Contribute to AI/ML module development, enhancement, research, and deployment for entity extraction and relationship mapping using unstructured data.
- Support modernization of the agency’s data ecosystem, including evolving technology stacks in cloud and non-cloud environments.
- Adhere to Agile Scrum, Kanban, or other approved methodologies.
Requirements
- A BA or BS degree, or 4 additional years of equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of software or web development experience.
- 5+ years practicing Agile development methodologies.
- 5+ years of ASP.NET C# MVC web development with Visual Studio 2019 or newer.
- 5+ years of experience in Application or Enterprise Search; ElasticSearch or AWS OpenSearch is a plus.
- Experience configuring and managing a cloud high availability OpenSearch cluster with 10+ nodes.
- 5+ years of decoupled application development leveraging message queuing.
- 2+ years of React.js or AngularJS experience.
- 1+ year of ASP.NET Core experience using Visual Studio 2019.

Work schedule and location
Onsite in Fairfax County, VA three days per week with two days from home.

Compensation overview
The likely salary range for this position is USD 164,382 to USD 189,750 per year. Actual compensation will be set based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements and may fall outside this range.
