Learning Experience Digital Designer and Content Development
Job Description
Bring learning to life with video, scenarios, and brand-level design for Gensler’s Global Talent Development team. This onsite Los Angeles role helps build a creative production engine that supports a global program portfolio across modalities, with room to explore immersive learning and future-forward experience design.
You’ll collaborate with learning design partners, translate strategy into story and visuals, and support learning technology needs, including LMS administration in Workday Learning and learning analytics with tools like Power BI and Excel. The outcome: experiences that learners can practice, apply, and make meaning in.
What you’ll do
- Produce end-to-end video content from concept and storyboard through production and editorial-quality final cuts, aligning edits with program messaging and learning intent
- Use Generative AI Visualization tools to create scenario-based content that brings workplace situations and challenges to life, expanding dynamic Gensler-specific video without needing a studio or cast
- Design and execute program collateral across modalities, including decks, facilitation guides, participant workbooks, promotional campaigns, and communications, maintaining Gensler brand design standards and the team’s visual identity
- Develop program brand identities, including visual systems, color, typography, and tone to give each initiative a distinct voice while staying consistent with a unifying global talent brand
- Develop internal communications for campaign moments, including launch materials, program invitations, and promotional content
- Source and curate content with an editorial eye, integrating references, clips, images, and resources with craft and purpose
- Collaborate early with LXD and Strategy leaders, contributing ideas and translating direction into visual and production choices
- Develop and edit scripts, narratives, and written content to translate complex learning concepts into clear, compelling, appropriately voiced copy
- Apply learner-centered design to every production decision, supporting practice and meaning-making in experiential, scenario-based environments
- Contribute to a growing point of view on immersive learning experience design, including AR/VR and simulation, and how to evolve the program portfolio
- Support LMS administration and content management within Workday Learning
- Use data tools such as Power BI, Excel, and AI-assisted analytics to calculate, interpret, and build compelling data visualizations for reporting and executive summaries
- Stay current on learning technology integrations and platform capabilities that improve the learner experience
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of related experience
- A portfolio showing range and a clear point of view across video, graphic design, brand identity, and campaign-level communications
- End-to-end video production skills across storytelling registers, from cinematic, premium-platform work to lightweight, bite-sized, dynamic content
- Brand-level graphic design and layout proficiency, including strong use of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Working knowledge of AI tools to accelerate drafting, iteration, and production while protecting craft
- Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools, including Articulate 360 and Rise or equivalent
- Working knowledge of LMS platforms, with Workday Learning preferred
- Experience with data visualization for learning analytics and executive reporting
- Experience working within a learning design process and the ability to plug in as a creative partner
- A genuine passion for people and belief that great learning experiences can shape how someone sees themselves and what’s possible
- Agility: moving fast, adapting readily, and testing before over-engineering
- Proven collaboration across regions, cultures, and time zones, with flexibility for occasional meetings and program activity outside standard business hours
