Job Description

At Accenture Song, the Visual Design Manager steers end-to-end visual design, design systems, and brand narratives across client and internal engagements, weaving AI-enabled workflows into the craft while mentoring teams. This onsite role in Morristown, NJ sits at the crossroads of strategy, craft, and delivery, advancing how iconic brands translate ideas into cohesive visual experiences.

Compensation

USD 87,400 - 266,300 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the visual design approach on engagements from concept through delivery, ensuring high craft, cohesive aesthetics, and on-time milestones.
  • Think conceptually to translate briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into clear, compelling visual languages.
  • Define and defend a high standard of visual craftsmanship, guiding brand identities, design systems, motion, typography, illustration, and digital experiences.
  • Be both visionary and hands-on: set the creative direction while remaining closely involved in producing strong output with the team.
  • Utilize AI tools to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, demonstrating how these tools augment creativity rather than replace it.
  • Serve as a leading creative voice in client conversations, articulating visual perspectives and translating design rationale into strategic narratives for complex decisions.
  • Document how AI changes design workflows and measure its impact on delivery quality and team performance to evolve the practice.
  • Contribute to proposals, develop case studies from work, and convert project learnings into thought leadership that showcases visual capabilities.
  • Identify new creative opportunities with existing clients, partnering with account leads to build compelling perspectives around brand, design system, or experience challenges.
  • Manage, support, and mentor team members in daily work, helping them grow their craft, confidence, and independence as visual designers.
  • Remain an active, contributing member of the Visual Design craft, sharing methods, references, and outcomes to advance the discipline.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Visual Design experience across diverse industries, brands, platforms, and contexts.
  • Experience leading visual design engagements end-to-end, from creative concepting and visual strategy through to production-ready delivery.
  • Directing the creation of brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI with a strong, consistent visual voice.
  • Proven ability to produce and direct high-fidelity visual work with meticulous attention to detail, including pixel-perfect deliverables and developer-ready specs.
  • Experience directly managing or coaching visual designers, helping contributors grow into stronger, more independent practitioners.
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional environments with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists to deliver cohesive experiences.
  • Delivering visuals shipped at scale that address complex product or brand challenges and drive measurable impact on user experiences and business goals.
  • Strong UX understanding underpinning visual decisions; visuals should both look right and support intuitive user flows while expressing the brand.
  • Experience building and contributing to scalable design systems ensuring consistency across products, platforms, and channels.
  • Experience embedding AI tools and workflows into visual design practices from concepting to rapid iteration and AI-enabled team workflows.
  • Hands-on proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Claude Design, and relevant motion/illustration/AI tools; this is not a purely managerial role.
  • Facilitation skills and creative presence to present visual strategy and rationale to senior client stakeholders and guide decisions under pressure.
  • Fluency in adjacent areas like brand strategy, service design, or content design, or demonstrated self-directed expansion of skills.
  • Experience contributing to practice-level initiatives, including workflows, craft assets, onboarding, or community forums.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in visual design, visual communications, graphic design, fine art, or a related field.
  • Experience in management consulting, a creative agency, or a professional services environment.
