Responsibilities
- Direct visual design direction on engagements from concept through delivery, ensuring design quality, cohesive aesthetics, and timely completion
- Translate briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into clear, compelling visual languages
- Set and defend a high craft standard across brand identities, design systems, motion, typography, illustration, and digital experiences
- Balance strategic vision with hands-on contribution, guiding key design decisions while producing high-quality output with the team
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, demonstrating how these tools augment creativity
- Contribute as a leading creative voice in client discussions, translating design rationale into strategic narratives for high-pressure decisions
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Visual Design across multiple industries, brands, platforms, and contexts
- 4+ years leading visual design engagements end-to-end from concept and strategy to production-ready delivery
- 4+ years directing the creation of brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI with a strong visual voice
- 4+ years producing high-fidelity visual work with meticulous attention to detail and developer-ready specifications
- 3+ years directly managing or coaching visual designers and growing contributors into independent practitioners
- 3+ years working in agile, cross-functional environments with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists
- 3+ years delivering high-caliber visual design work shipped at scale with measurable impact on customer experiences and business goals
- 3+ years making ground visual design decisions with a deep understanding of user experience that guides intuitive product experiences while conveying a cohesive brand point of view
- 3+ years contributing to scalable design systems that ensure consistency across products, platforms, and channels
- 3+ years embedding AI tools and workflows into visual design from concept to rapid iteration and modeling AI-enabled workflows for the team
- 3+ years hands-on with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Claude Design and related motion, illustration, or AI design tools
- 3+ years facilitating and presenting visual strategy and design rationale to senior client stakeholders under pressure
- Fluency in adjacent areas such as brand strategy, service design, or content design, or demonstrated self-directed skill expansion
- Experience contributing to practice-level initiatives, including ways of working, craft assets, onboarding, or community forums
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in visual design, visual communications, graphic design, fine art, or a related creative field
- Experience working in management consulting, a creative agency, or a professional services environment
- Active contribution to external thought leadership, such as publishing creative POVs, speaking at events, or representing the practice in the design community
