Visual Design Manager
Job Description
Accenture Song invites a Visual Design Manager to lead visual direction across client and internal engagements from concept to delivery. This onsite role in Walnut Creek, CA offers a collaborative environment within the Design and Digital Products practice, where you will shape aesthetic language, define design systems, mentor teams, and leverage AI to accelerate concepting and production. The compensation ranges from USD 87,400 to 266,300 annually, and a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long term disability coverage, 401(k) plan, bonus opportunities, paid holidays, and paid time off. You will work with clients, contribute to thought leadership, and support business development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Steer the visual design direction on engagements from concept through delivery, upholding design quality, cohesive aesthetics, and on schedule results.
- Translate abstract briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into clear, compelling visual languages.
- Establish and defend a high craft standard by directing brand identities, design systems, motion, typography, illustration, and digital experiences.
- Balance visionary thinking with hands-on execution, shaping key design decisions while producing high quality outputs with the team.
- Incorporate AI tools to speed concepting, iteration, and production, modeling how these tools augment creative thinking rather than replace it.
- Serve as a leading creative voice in client conversations, presenting visual perspectives and translating design rationale into strategic narratives for complex decisions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Visual Design across multiple industries, brand types, platforms, and visual contexts.
- 4+ years leading visual design engagements from concept and visual strategy through to production-ready delivery.

- 3+ years directly managing or coaching visual designers to build stronger, more independent practitioners.
- 3+ years working in agile, cross-functional environments with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists.
- 3+ years delivering high caliber visual design work shipped at scale and driving measurable impact on customer experiences and business goals.
- 3+ years making ground visual design decisions with a strong UX understanding, ensuring visuals guide users effectively while expressing the brand point of view.
- 3+ years contributing to scalable design systems that maintain visual consistency across products and channels.
- 3+ years embedding AI tools and workflows into visual design practices to enable rapid ideation and iteration.
- 3+ years hands-on experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Claude Design, and relevant motion or AI design tools; this is not a purely managerial role.
