UX Product Designer - Encore Program
Job Description
Based onsite in Dallas, TX, this UX Product Designer role supports Deloitte's DT-US Product Engineering team, focusing on experience-driven, user-centered design across broad workflows and hands-on visual and interaction work. This position offers a salary range of USD 97,000 to 200,000 annually and is part of the Deloitte Encore Program for returning professionals.
Responsibilities
- Own design and usability for a product area, aligning with the broader product experience vision.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft engaging, intuitive experiences using an iterative lean UX approach.
- Lead teams in framing and solving complex experience problems; drive innovative UX efforts and conduct cross-functional workshops.
- Apply your expertise in the Experience craft to the product team, addressing intricate experience challenges with thoughtful solutions.
- Make strategic design and user experience decisions for core and new functions and features.
- Develop new approaches to design problems and communicate designs through presentations, mockups, and click-through prototypes.
- Create strategic big-picture workflows alongside detailed visual and interaction design.
- Partner with user researchers to influence studies that uncover unresolved interface problems and opportunities.
- Design and deliver UX assets including initial concepts, user flows, wireframes, usage scenarios, journeys, and mockups.
- Balance business priorities with user needs to create impactful experiences.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering, product, and delivery to realize solutions that meet strategy objectives and KPIs.
- Contribute to the overall design framework, ensuring consistent language and a reusable library of assets.
- Engage in hands-on experience craft modeling across projects.
- Perform heuristic evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Uphold high standards of user-centered design, iterating quickly and testing to improve usability and consistency.
- Monitor behavioral analytics and propose refinements to optimize user experiences.
- Collaborate effectively with other UX designers or work autonomously as the sole UX designer on a product squad.
- Share knowledge and contribute to the experience vertical community of practice; stay current with UX trends.

- Strong understanding of interactive design principles, delivering usable, accessible interfaces.
- Extensive design experience for both desktop and mobile with responsive and adaptive approaches.
- Passion for solving user pain points through design thinking and user feedback.
- Creative and analytical, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution.
- Collaborative, open-minded, and eager to learn from feedback.
- Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments with quick iteration.
- Deep interest in UX and innovation, keeping up with trends and methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, able to communicate with developers and executives and build consensus.

- Expert in UX tools including Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Axure, InVision, UXPin, and Balsamiq.
- Degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
